When you contact CCCS of San Diego's consumer credit counseling center, a trained counselor will go over your income, indebtedness and overall financial situation; you'll discuss possible solutions and recommendations for you to consider. At our consumer credit counseling center, we will assess if your debts are unmanageable and we will explore the possibility of a debt management program. Through a debt management plan offered by our consumer credit counseling center, your counselor should be able to negotiate a repayment plan with your creditors for you. The debt management plan acts like a consolidation loan. It is a voluntary arrangement between you, CCCS of San Diego and your creditors. You agree to include your unsecured debts on the program and make one payment each month and that payment is to CCCS of San Diego which is then distributed to your creditors until you become debt free.
